Michaels Spicy Asian Burgers


Ginger, fresh mint, and ground beef put a Far East spin on a classic.


Ingredients:      

·         1 pound(s) ground beef
·         1 clove(s) crushed garlic
·         1 tablespoon(s) minced fresh ginger
·         2 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
·         1 1/2 teaspoon(s) hot sauce
·         1 tablespoon(s) minced fresh mint
·         buns

Preparation:

1.       Combine ground beef, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, hot sauce and mint; form into 4 patties.

2.       Grill over medium-hot coals (or broil) for 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, until instant-read thermometer inserted in a burger reads 160 degrees F. Serve on buns.

Big D’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce


Spaghetti with Meat Sauce is an inexpensive meal and makes terrific leftovers.


Ingredients:

·         2 pounds ground beef
·         2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
·         ¼ cup diced white onion
·         1 tablespoon minced garlic
·         2 (28 ounce) can tomato puree
·         ¼ teaspoon to ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
·         1 teaspoon dried thyme
·         1 tablespoon dried basil
·         2 teaspoons salt
·         Freshly ground pepper
·         1 tablespoon sugar

Preparation:

1.       In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the oil and cook the ground beef until beginning to brown, about 5 minutes.

2.       Add the onion and garlic and cook 3 minutes more, until lightly browned.

3.       Add the tomato puree, red pepper flakes, thyme, basil, salt, pepper, and sugar.

Let simmer for 10 minutes, covered. Taste and adjust seasonings. Can be stored in the refrigerator for 3 days or in the freezer for 1 month.

Budget Cordon Bleu


Ingredients:


·         1 1/2lbs ground beef
·         2 eggs
·         1 onion
·         1 1/4ozs onion soup mix (dry)
·         1/2 cup rolled oat (blended in a blender for finer crumbs)
·         8 slices slices ham (bacon)
·         8 slices mozzarella cheese
·         2 eggs
·         Breadcrumbs
·         10 1/2 oz. mushroom soup (undiluted)
·         1 cup milk
·         2 tsps. flour

Preparation:

       1.           Combine the first 5 ingredients.
       2.            Make 8 thin patties.
       3.            Place 1 piece of ham or bacon and 1 piece of cheese in the middle of each.
       4.            Fold over and be sure the cheese and bacon are covered.
       5.            Whip 2 eggs.
       6.            Dip the beef rolls into the egg, and then roll in the bread crumbs.
       7.            Place into casserole dish.
       8.            Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees or until done.
       9.           Make gravy with milk, flour, and soup.
      10.          Pour over rolls and bake until sauce bubbles.

Sams Saucy Beef and Broccoli with Rice

A Delicious, Easy Meal in Minutes!



Ingredients:

·         ¾ lb.  Extra lean ground beef
·         1 cup  chopped onion
·         3 cups  fresh broccoli florets
·         1 cup  sliced mushrooms
·         ½ cup  diced red pepper
·         1 can 10 oz.   Condensed Low Fat Cream of Broccoli Soup
·         ½ cup  water
·         1 tbsp.  Worcestershire sauce
·         3 cups  hot cooked rice, cooked without salt


Preparation:
 1. Brown beef and onion in large non-stick skillet at medium-high heat.

 2. Add broccoli, mushrooms and pepper. Cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes.

 3. Add mixture of soup, water and Worcestershire sauce and heat to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Serve with rice.
